Pedestrians arrested for flouting traffic rules

Maseru – Several pedestrians were yesterday arrested the main Maseru circle (Mofumahali oa Tlholo) for crossing the road where there no pedestrian crossing.
Police spokesperson Senior Supt. Mpiti Mopeli told Public Eye it is Basotho’s duty to abide by the law because harsh measures will be taken against anyone flouting the law. He added the police’s job is to enforce the law and ensure everybody abides by the law.
He advised Basotho to ensure they study the law because ignorance.
“Unfortunately, the law takes course on all without any favoritism, whether you know it or not,” he said.
All who were arrested were taken to the police station and are set to appear before the courts of law.
