Four in trouble for stealing govt property



MASERU – Four employees from the ministry of gender, sports and recreation were last week arrested in relation to theft of government property.

The items stolen include a refrigerator, couches, a washing machine and curtains.

Police spokesperson senior superintendent Mpeti Mopeli said that the suspects of aged between 46 and 56 were arrested on different days following a tip-off.

He said the items were stolen from the Ha Rapokolana High Altitude Training Centre and were meant to be delivered at the said Ministry’s headquarters.

Mopeli said that police are currently awaiting a directive of charges from the prosecutor as investigations continue.
