Two bodies dumped along Mpilo Road

MASERU – On Saturday April 17, 2021, two dead bodies of a male and female were discovered near the junction to parliament along Mpilo road by a man who was jogging around that area.

Police suspect the two deceased, aged 40 and 26 of Khubetsoana and Khukhune, Butha-Buthe could have been together when they were brutally stabbed and murdered using a sharp object. It is also suspected that the female was raped.

Police spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Mpeti Mopeli said the assailants took the car the two should have been driving in and later dumped it at Ha Tsosane where it was found without its keys.

Police have urged the public to avoid going to places of high risk since crimes of this nature are on the increase.
