Police recover 64 cattle

Maseru – A total of 19 reports of 55 stolen livestock were filed with the Lesotho Mounted Police Services (LMPS) this past week alone.
According to Sub Inspector ’Mareaoboka Mofoka, efforts by the LMPS officers enabled the recovery of at least 64 Basotho-owned livestock that had been reported stolen and lost.
Meanwhile, through their Operation Restore Hope initiative, the police have managed to confiscate three unlawful firearms and 30 ammunitions.
Six people were arrested in relation to these crimes one of whom has already been tried while five remain in police custody pending investigations.
