Majoro reshuffles cabinet

Maseru – Prime Minister Moeketsi Majoro today redeployed some cabinet ministers, while appointing new members to the cabinet.
Tourism, Environment and Culture Minister, Lekhetho Rakuoane becomes the new Minister of Justice and Law, while Sam Rapapa moves from local government minister to communications minister. Keketso Sello will now be the minister of public service having been moved from communications, while Ntlhoi Motsamai has been moved from education to tourism and culture. Lepota Sekola, former deputy minister of water becomes minister of police as Likopo Mahase moves from deputy minister of agriculture and food security to minister of agriculture.
The following are fresh appointments to cabinet: Halebonoe Setsabi will now be the new defence minister, while Lehlohonolo Moramotse will lead the local government cabinet portfolio as ’Mamooko Phiri assumes the ministerial post in education and training.
The following will be new deputy ministers: Tumahole Lerafa, deputy minister of Justice and law; Letsitsi Mokoma, deputy agriculture minister; Mankoe Maime, deputy minister of water; and, ’Maletsema Letsoepa-Lenkoane, deputy minister of education and training.
The reshuffle is effective immediately.
