SMMEs meet on access to finance, markets

Maseru – The Minister of Small Business Development, Cooperatives and Markets Chief Thesele Maseribane on Monday this week held a press conference where stakeholders were invited to a round table discussion on the role of his ministry in assisting SMMEs to access finance and markets.

Head of the delivery unit in the Prime Minister’s office, Mr Chaba Mokuku said small businesses and cooperatives should work together for them to have access to markets and ensure that their products comply with standards. 

This means that their products have to meet international quality and health standards. The panel also indicated that there has to be business linkages and that local big businesses could source from small businesses.
