Cop shot dead at home

MASERU – Leribe police are investigating a case where an officer running a police station in Maputsoe was attacked and shot dead at his residence in Sebothoane, Motse Mocha.

According to a report, the deceased had just arrived at home on July 18, at around 17:30 hours when his wife, who was in another room heard gunshots. When she went to check, she discovered that her husband had been shot dead. Neighbours confirmed seeing three strangers running into a forest nearby. 

The men also shot a 19-year-old woman whom they ran into while escaping from the scene at the police officer’s house. She was rushed to the nearby hospital.
