M10 million set aside for people with disabilities

MASERU – The Ministry Social Development has announced the government’s plans to provide a grant for the disabled. Social development minister ‘Matebatso Doti said the plan will be carried out with the help of organisations of people with disabilities who will help with assessment of deserving recipients of the grant.

Honorable Doti also stated that the assessment will include a doctor’s report confirming disability. The government of Lesotho has budgeted a sum of M10 500 000.00 for this project.
