Taxi fares set to increase

Maseru – The Road Transport Board today announced at a press conference that starting from October 1, 2021 local taxi fares are going to increase by 10 percent.

A 4+1 taxi will increase from M8 to M9 while the mini bus will be M8.50.

The new price list will be available at all traffic departments nationwide.

Road transport board chairperson Limema Phohlo said the minister of transport had an agreement with the board that the taxi fares will increase annually for the taxi owners not suffer since petrol prices are always increasing and prices of car parts are also increasing.
