MASERU – The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) has urged the government to withdraw the contentious snooping Bills. MISA made the announcement yesterday, calling on the government of Lesotho through its Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology and its Minister Tsoinyane Rapapa to retract the Crime and Cybersecurity as well as the mobile and sim card registration regulation Bills that were passed on March 23, 2021.

MISA said at a press conference at its offices today that the Bills were passed without any consultation with the MISA, Lesotho and other stakeholders.
