LCS FC unveil new kit

MASERU – The Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) FC and technical sponsors, Alliance Insurance, this week unveiled the club’s home and away Umbro kit for the 2021/22 season. The new kit was uncovered at an event held in Maseru on Wednesday this week. The home jersey gives a strong nod to the club’s respectful traditional navy blue, white and green colours, while the away kit is a combination of old and new design with a dominating green colour and white.
According to the club chairman, Ncheke Ncheke, Umbro is the sole designer of the two playing kits. “We are using Umbro to dress our team and there is no specific concept on our side, but every year Umbro comes up with a new design for us,” said Ncheke. Ncheke said the new playing kit cost about M200 000 which he said was paid by the Alliance Insurance as the club’s technical sponsors. “The kit cost about M200 000 which was paid by the Alliance Insurance,” said Ncheke.
Alliance and LCS FC have an over 10 years working partnership. “This is the lasting partnership,” said Ncheke. “We have more than 13 years in this partnership.” Speaking on behalf of Alliance Insurance, Lipuo Sehloho, said her company was the biggest football sponsor in the country and that LCS FC was one of the clubs sponsored by Alliance. “Alliance Insurance is the biggest football sponsor, supporting some of the clubs in the country and LCS FC is one of them,” said Sehloho. So today we are celebrating the unveiling of their new playing kit.”
Other clubs which are sponsored by Alliance include the league champions, Matlama, Lioli and Linare, all campaigning in the top-flight league. Masheshena, as LCS FC are popularly known, finished the 2020/21 season lying on third position on the 16-team Vodacom Premier League log table.
