Kick4Life overwhelms Berea Ladies

MASERU – Kick4life Ladies secured a convincing 4-2 victory over Berea Ladies in a thrilling Women’s Super League clash at the Bambatha Tšita Sports Arena. The match, a display of attacking ability and resilient defense, saw Kick4life take an early lead and never look back. Just one minute in to the game. Kick4life found the back of the net, setting the tone for a dominant first half.

Their lead doubled just eight minutes later, leaving Berea Ladies chasing the game.

Berea managed to pull one back, showcasing their fighting spirit, but Kick4life responded effectively, adding a third goal before half time to take a comfortable 3-1 lead.

The second half saw changes on both sides, Kick4life’s determination remained unwavering. They continued to press forward, eventually extending their lead to 4-1. Berea managed a late consolation goal, but it was too late, as Kick4life secured a victory.

Despite the defeat, Berea Ladies coach, Lehloenya Nkhasi, remained positive. While acknowledging Kick4life’s goals disrupted their game plan, he highlighted the positives.

“Scoring two goals is a positive thing,” he stated, emphasizing the team’s improved attacking capabilities compared to their previous matches.

He pledged to address the team’s defensive weaknesses, acknowledging areas for improvement. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the official’s decisions. However, he praised his players’ overall performance and the team’s significant progress.

“We have been building this team for two seasons,” he explained, highlighting their impressive growth from 20 points last season to 31 points this season, securing position three. We are heading in the right direction, and our aim is to compete for the league title next season.”

Kick4life coach, Teboho Takisi, was delighted with the outcome.

“We played well and are happy with the performance,” he said.

He stated that the girls performed their plan perfectly, what they practiced in the training translated onto the field, and they are confident in their ability to perform well going forward.

Kick4life will face a strict test this Saturday when they take on an extensive LDF Ladies at the DiFA Mapustoe stadium. LDF secured a 6-0 victory over LMPS Ladies in the opening match of the Women’s Super League.
