Abuse of blue lights under spotlight
THATO RAMAFU
Maseru – Police this week lamented the continued abuse of blue lights by motorists.
Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli warned yesterday that no unauthorized car should be seen with blue lights even for decoration purposes because criminal can take advantage of this.
“Only police cars are expected to carry blue lights,” Mopeli warned, adding drastic measures will be taken against offenders.
He also warned motorists against driving in cars without number plate and further observed that it seems owners remove these deliberately.
