LEC suspends cheque payments
RETHABILE MOHONO
MASERU – The Lesotho Electricity Company (LEC) will no longer accept cheque payments starting from October 1, 2019.
LEC said in a statement this is because of the increasing number of fraudulent cheque payments made to LEC.
However, LEC said customers and the public are further notified that other modes of payment are still operational. These include Eco-Cash, M-Pesa, bank cards (debit, credit), electronic transfers and cash.
