Teenager aborts, dumps baby

THABA-TSEKA – A 17-year-old girl from Mantsonyane was arrested on November 8 for allegedly terminating her pregnancy.
Police say on 8 November, at around 1500 hours police found an infant wrapped in a plastic bag at the suspect’s house and investigations pointed to the teenager.
It is said that the girl was impregnated by one school teacher from the same area.
The girl was then taken to hospital where she was admitted and later released on November 15 before she appeared before the magistrate court on the same day.
