Consular services for Zimbabweans in Lesotho
STAFF REPORTER
MASERU – Zimbabweans living in Lesotho needing consular services are being invited to meet officials from the Zimbabwean Embassy in Pretoria at Durham Link early next month.
Chairman of the Zimbabwe Lesotho Association, Osborne Tanekha, today said the mission is expected in the country on December 4 and 5.
These dates are tentative and are likely to change depending on whether a venue for the interaction can be secured.
Tanekha said Zimbabweans needing to apply for passports, national identification documents, license conversions, birth certificates and other services should take this opportunity to be attended to.
The officers’ mission to Lesotho follows the Zimbabwean ambassador to South Africa’s recent visit to Maseru to discuss issues affecting Zimbabweans. The consulate in Pretoria also covers Lesotho and eSwatini.
Zimbabweans have been clamouring for passports since last year owing to a shortage of foreign currency in that country.
