Dream comes true for Solenjah





MASERU – Upcoming artiste, Solenjah says he is honoured to be collaborating with veteran hip hop artiste SkebzD on a single.

Solenjah, real name Kopano Tilo, previously told Public Eye that one of his greatest wishes as an upcoming artiste is to work with one of the “top dogs” in the music industry.

SkebzD happens to be one such for Solenjah as well as a couple more artistes who have made it to the top of the industry.

Solenjah believes that a music interaction with such artistes could have a positive impact on his career.

He indicates that those are artistes that could help him grow musically given how experienced and talented they are.

He says a collaboration with them could put weight on his tracks.

Today the 20-year-old’s dream has come true as he and SkebzD are working on a single titled ‘Sing Together’ a song is dedicated to couples this February which is generally a month of love, Solenjah adds.

Asked how the collaboration came about, SkebzD explained, “I met with the artiste Solenjah through a Whatsapp group for young talented Africans which is a platform created by DJ Chomma Dee to unite all her friends/people in the SADC entertainment industry. I liked one of the promo songs/ video he posted in the group & I contacted him individually to co-write or collaborate on the Song entitled Sing_Together because I can sense good talent, & he definitely has a spark to his sound, his is what Hiphop/RnB is today. The rest is history, and now we are thinking of bringing out the hottest R’NB & hip hop collaboration this year, promote the single via radio, tv and video ,and possibly grow both our brands while I introduce him to a wider audience or fan base which I already have”.

SkebzD says he has always been a firm believer in giving upcoming talent the necessary assisitance and helping the industry grow so that all Basotho youth and entertainers can prosper.

He reveals that he has given platform and skills to most of the prominent artistes in the game today and he will continue doing so.

“I am not selfish,” he says laughing.

He further says that anybody who thinks that they are at a level of production that he can at least comprehend or work with should contact his so they can discuss rates. His emphasises that he is really interested in doing a lot of collaborations this year.
