Poorly discarded PPE poses hazards
MAMELLO SEBATANE
Maseru – Amid the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide, the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has shot up which has pushed demand for the much-sought-after protection.
However, some Basotho are concerned by the improper disposal of used PPE which can be seen strewn all over public places in villages and towns.
Health experts say discarded PPE not only pose health hazards but also breed secondary environmental problems.
