Elderly man rapes minor (8)

QACHA’S NEK – A 57-year-old man, Khauta Khaloli, of Sehlabathebe was arrested on April 15, 2021 following a rape incident that took place on April, 8 2021.
He allegedly sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl from the same village.
According to police spokesperson senior superintendent Mpeti Mopeli, the girl was playing close to the suspect’s house when he called her into his house, assaulted her and paid her off with an undisclosed sum of money.
Khaloli appeared before the Qacha’s Nek magistrate on April 16, 2021 and is in police custody awaiting trial that will begin on April 22, 2021.
