Second batch of Covid-19 vaccines arrives



Maseru – The Covax Facility on Monday announced the arrival of the second batch of Covid-19 vaccines.

Up to 36 000 doses of the AstraZeneca donation are expected to allow the Ministry of Health to reach the first 36 000 Basotho. Health authorities will be prioritizing health care workers, people with comorbidities as well as those that need to receive their second doses within the recommended schedule.

Anurita Bains, UNICEF Representative to Lesotho, expressed gratitude to partners of COVAX for working hard at ensuring that countries like Lesotho access the vaccine.
