Third Eye, looks up to Cassper Nyovest

MASERU – Third Eye yearns to tap into both professional and financial success of South African rapper Cassper Nyovest. Nyovest, is a South African rapper, songwriter, entrepreneur and record producer who was born and raised in Mahikeng, North West and he is regarded as one of the most successful artistes in South Africa. Third Eye, whose real name Rethabile Themba, has given himself two years to attain this feat.
The 24-year-old is a song writer and an artist who was born in Cana, ha ’Mamathe, in Berea district. His music consists of a smooth Sesotho Hop and rap in contemporary hip-hop, creating a unique style that is impressive to the listeners. He started his journey in music in December 2016, with his hit single called ‘Tsotsi’, which was known by a lot of hip-hop lovers at the time.
A determined artiste with great potential, he has also done a lot of work with several artistes to date, including Blue Tee, DJ Feeshy, EriGad Kane and Mmeke Artistic). He also does gigs with videographers and producers Kfire & G.O.G. Third Eye says he has been inspired by artistes such as Kommanda Obbs, Ntate Stunna and Mahlanyeng, among others, while internationally Nyovest remains his main man.
“As an upcoming artiste I am encountering so many difficulties such as investing too much in music but not getting anything in return. However, that does not deter me from releasing my music and working hard, I have more than 20 songs until now,” he says.
His three songs ‘Haeso pula e’a na’, ‘Fente Fente’ and ‘Ha ne ke lla’ have blown rooftops in many dance halls. He is currently working on a five-song EP titled ‘Qalo’, which he says is intended to heal broken hearts just like his past single ‘Ha ne ke lla’ did. Third Eye’s ambition is to be considered as a great artiste in the country and worldwide.
“The support I get from family, friends and followers is promising and amazing. It inspires me to even keep doing what I do best, which is to release great music and my fans can expect two dope singles very soon that will be followed by an EP with five tracks,” he says.
