MASERU – Vodacom Lesotho (VCL) has partnered with Mafube ICT Solutions to launch a pioneering car tracker device that enhances vehicle security and provides a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, catering to the growing demand for continuous connectivity on the road.
This innovative car tracker aims to improve safety and convenience for drivers. It integrates advanced tracking features with fast internet access, allowing vehicle owners to track their cars in real-time and turning their vehicles into Wi-Fi hotspots, enabling internet connectivity for passengers and nearby devices.
VCL, in its statement, emphasised that the remarkable aspect of this new product is its capability to utilise Vodacom Lesotho’s wide network coverage, guaranteeing dependable connectivity even in distant or underserved regions. Whether travelling across the country or navigating city streets, individuals can remain connected to the internet without depending on their smartphones’ data plans.
The tracker comes equipped with a range of security features, including geo-fencing, tamper alerts, and remote immobilisation, providing added peace of mind to vehicle owners. In the event of unauthorised access or suspicious activity, users receive instant notifications on their mobile devices, allowing them to take prompt action to safeguard their vehicles.
It stands out for its innovative tracking technology, which utilises state-of-the-art tools to offer real-time monitoring and tracking of vehicles. This product offers a range of notable features, such as vehicle recovery services, insurance certification upon installation, signal jamming detection alerts, impact detection safety features, battery disconnection notifications, web and app access, real-time tracking, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
