Suspects vandalise radio transmission towers

MASERU – Two men who allegedly vandalised the Lancer’s Gap radio transmission centre on Sunday are in police custody after they were arrested by members of the community.
The suspects according to police spokesperson Superintendent Mpiti Mopeli were found in possession of electrical cables after they allegedly vandalised the transmission towers.
After apprehending the two men, Mopeli said the residents of Sehlabeng, Thuathe handed them over to members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) camped in Lancer’s Gap.
The suspects, he said would appear before the courts of law sometime this week on charges of vandalism and theft.
