Toddler burns to death

QACHA’S NEK – A four-year old girl was burnt to death inside a house in Ha Shakhane, Sekhalabateng in the Qacha’s Nek district on September 14.

Deputy police spokesperson Sergeant ’Mareabetsoe Mofoka said on the fateful September 14 parents were at a feast with children when one girl fell asleep and was given rest by her mother at a neighbors house while the feasting continued.

Preliminary police investigations indicate that when the little girl slept, someone started a fire on the house at which time the girl’s mother was attending to her boyfriend away from the scene.

Neighbours who came to her rescue were late and she could no reach the hospital in time.

Police plead with anyone with information regarding the incident to report to the Sekake Police Station.
