Maseru – The United Nations Technology Bank and the Network of African Science Academies have teamed up to support the launch of the Lesotho Academy of Science and Technology.

The launch, which will be virtual, is set for Monday, March 15, 2021. Present at the session will, among others, be Joshua Setipa, who is currently the Managing director of The Technology Bank for Least Developed Countries, as one of the key speakers.

Setipa is a former Chief Executive Officer for the Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) and a former cabinet minister in the Kingdom of Lesotho. The partnership between the two entities is meant to support existing academies and establish some where they do not exist in less developed countries.

Lesotho, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Chad will launch their academies in this first quarter of 2021.
