Murder suspect in court

MASERU – Peterose Moletsane, 27, appeared before the Mohale’s Hoek magistrate court on March 19, 2021, accused of killing a 45-year-old man from Mafeteng. 

Moletsane is in police custody waiting to appear before court on April 1, 2021. 

Police said the suspect had an argument with the victim who he accused of failing to dim his car lights while they were at a bar drinking on March 13, 2021.

During the argument the suspect stabbed and critically injured the victim with a knife. 

The victim was taken to Ts’epong Hospital where he died on March 15, 2021 after which Moletsane turned himself in to report he had stabbed the victim.

Police appealed to Basotho to desist from needless arguments when drinking or using drugs.
