Aspiring model recounts journey

MASERU – Tebello Maine, aged 25 from Lithabaneng Maseru, who studied Journalism and Media at Limkokwing University is a beauty queen and a model.
She joined modelling back in 2015. She was chosen to represent at Miss Lesotho Higher Institute got her first award of the “Best Top Model”. “That was motivational enough to join many other pageants until I found myself representing the country at an international stage at Miss Africa continent where I came home as the First Runner Up position.”
“My pageant journeys build me a profile strong enough to boost my modelling career. I did a lot of fashion shows like Moshoeshoe Fashion Show, Indian Fashion Show, Fashion weeks and represented a few brands. I might be growing older but the queen in me never slows. To this day I still do work with non profit organizations like Brothers for Love and Ntsoana-Tsatsi Foundation to help the less fortunate,” she adds.
Maine was once a gymnast and a table tennis player for which she has got tons of medals for. “Recently I started a hair brand called GIRL KING Fantasy look, in an industry with less opportunities I was ready to put the experience for my own business. And I am fortunate enough to work for a family business,” she says.
