Three in court over stock theft

MASERU – Three men appeared before the Qacha’ Nek magistrate court on June 15 for illegal possession of livestock.  

According to the police spokesperson, Senior Inspector Mpiti Mopeli, the trio was discovered in a joint campaign by the Lesotho Defense Force and the Lesotho Mounted Police Services that was conducted in the Lebakeng, Ha-Thube and Ha-Thaba villages in Qacha’s Nek district in a campaign which was conducted between June 30 to July 2. 

The three suspects are: 36-year-old Motlalepula Mohlaba of Ha-Thaba, 40-year-old Nhlakutheni Ndozanda of ‘Milikane and 23-year-old Thabo Moloko of Lebakeng. They were found in possession of seven, fourteen and four cattle respectively. 

The trio will appear before the magistrate again on July 19.
