Former ABC stalwart leads new party

MASERU – Ahead of this year’s general elections, yet another new political party, the Empowerment Movement for Basotho, has been launched in Maseru in a bid to attract voters away from the bigger established parties already positioning themselves for victory in the forthcoming polls.

Launched at the Mojalefa Lephole Hall today, the new political outfit is led by former All Basotho Convention (ABC) cadre Katiso Phasumane, with members of the executive committee also converts from the ABC, the Basotho National Party and the Reformed Congress of Lesotho.

The party goes by the slogan ‘Sechaba falimehang – Taba ke e’o.’
