Ne9us DaMarv drops 7th Mix-tape GENESYS2

MASERU – Rorisang Jacob Ntšihlele, well known as Ne9us DaMarv, aspires to be the best musician and use his music to educate other upcoming artists.
The 20-year-old artiste, producer and performer from Hlotse, Leribe, started music in 2012 as a performer and lip-syncer at school events, even though he had always been with other types of art being creative and influential.
He has been releasing music since his 9th Grade in 2016, and he released his first song featuring Skye & Mcintosh who are still part of the same rap-group.
Ne9us DaMarv, who became famous in 2018 through the song titled ‘FIA’, short for “Soofia International”, recently released a song called ‘Vatikan’, which is slang for “Roma”. He is also a member of a music group called Lyrical Cartel, founded by him and others. As of 2022, DaMarv has released six mixtapes and will release his 7th official mixtape, GENESYS2 this month, which will be available on all major digital streaming platforms.
The mixtape features the leaders of the young, upcoming generation of musicians. GENESYS2 is set to be 10-song project with extra songs on different DSPs and will be followed by his debut album DNA, short for “Demons N Angels”, detailing his physical and spiritual trials and tribunals.
“I am about to study Law at NUL in this academic year. I have spent 2 full years working on perfecting my craft, and now I was on the verge of going commercial, but I have chosen to postpone it and study law. I want to be a renowned artist to be featured among the world’s best artistes,” he says. DaMarv won a standup comedy contest in 2017, alongside Mzwakhe who is considered one of the most prominent artistes in Hlotse.
Later this year he also recorded a song ‘Tisitano’ where he is featured on the debut EP by Shrank, an artiste originally from Mokhotlong. The song was specially made for buy and sell app called Tisitano, where users around Lesotho, Swaziland and Botswana can swiftly sell and buy all types of goods. The song now serves as the theme song for the application software which is available on Apple store and Play store.
