Man accused of fatally stabbing estranged wife

MASERU – A 25-year-old man from Boleka in Mafeteng appeared before the magistrate court on March 4, 2021 accused of killing his 23-year-old wife.
Sub-inspector Mareabetsoe Mofoka said the two were married but were living separately for about a year because of the family conflicts. On March 4 the suspect called the wife who was working in Maseru requesting her to come back home so they could fix their marriage.
The victim went home and met her husband in Mafeteng town and they went home together. On their way home at a place called Boleka the husband attacked the wife, fatally stabbing her in the process.
The suspect is in police custody waiting to re-appear before court when police complete investigations.
