Motsamai does it again

MASERU – Just last week Gospel sensation, Rorisang Motsamai’s album ‘Mangole ohle’ hit a platinum streaming on digital stores – he is back with a bang of 10 tracks.
The new album, ‘Haufi le Morena’ is Rorisang’s 9th studio album since his arrival in the music industry in 2006. The compilation as an Easter month dedication showcasing the singer’s musical skill that has a tinge of Nigerian sounds.
It features the likes of another Gospel star, Katleho Moshe, who belts it out in the track called ‘Ha se ka matla.’ Speaking to Life&Style this week Rorisang revealed his desire to “go and pursue my music career in Nigeria sometime in the future.”
The album was recorded live in studio and was worked on by producer Stephen Thabane, with the contribution of Gospel artist and preacher Pastor Rithah Motšeare made the album a success – both of whom Rorisang attributes the album’s success to.
“Every now and then I look at myself with wonder and smile that I actually wrote the lyrics of the album, and God never ceases to amaze me when I get to see the reaction of the people over the music I make for them.
Some guy said he finds closure in my music even when he is drunk and it heals him,” giggled Motsamai. ‘Haufi le Morena’ is also a dedication to the people that lost their loved ones and their jobs because of the Covid pandemic, according to Rorisang; and a live DVD recording of the album is underway as the artist puts it.
“This is my 9th studio album in the industry and I am proud of it, I love the reception it got and I am aiming to promote it here in Africa and to make my country proud. I personally directed the production of the album this time and I hope for good sales,” he said.
The album was released last Saturday and the glamour of it has set the tone for the singer’s upcoming events locally and abroad. ‘Haufi le Morena’ can be found on digital stores like Apple music, Boomplay, Itunes and many more; hard copies are found with the singer.
